Art of the City is Derelict’s ongoing co-production exchange with Preston residents, originally cultivated by a series of conversations in the city's shopping centre and Bus Station. 

 

 aims to develop a deeper and longer-lasting relationship with our audiences and communities.

 

The group formed from a city centre engagement project with the intention of creating a conversation with as wide a range of ages, backgrounds and experiences as possible.

 

Derelict: Art of the City has the aim of steering the core arts programme, assist with its production, engage with community partners, develop its own projects, and in turn, receive ongoing benefits including skills development and tickets to shows.
